Interesting.  The rules state OEM crankcase and head on OHV motors.  The rules also state that components made after 1955 and EXACT reproductions MAY be cosidered legal in vintage classes if they offer no competitive advantages.  More importantly it continues with "pre-installation approval by the contest board is required.  Tread carefully or tears may be shed.

I love that rule.... tried to have it changed up till 04... couldnt get it done, gave up..... let me ask you.... why would a racer put something on there race vehicle the didnt offer a "competitive advantage" probably one of the most stupidest part of the rule book....

Well,  I put my butt on my bike at each meet and that sure ain't no "competitve advantage".
