Title: DOT tires only

Am I reading that right. The AMA / BUB rules seem to say commercially available road tires only. meaning DOT approved correct. I also see no mention of shaving, allowed or not.

It would seem that guidance from the rules is somewhat lacking going into the 4th year of the event perhaps.
Experience and enforcement are somewhere behind even that.

ken told me road race slicks were OK for their meet.
