Someone who still "flat tows", keeps all his engines in the living room and turns a '30's Ford into a streamliner is probably not a good candidate to have a computer 8-).

Sorry Dan if you ever read this, but I couldn't help it.  Dan's teardrop was one of the first ones I ever saw in person and that was back in '91 at the bend in the road.  I would say he was instrumental in me finally making one and using it.

Thanks Dan,

Sum

Yep, Dan is in some kind special,
this is the reason why I like that he is getting something - a calender where his old Ford is shown.

It's the new Castrol 2007 calender, done by a friend of mine - Alex Lier

Dan is a great guy! Very creative and focused on his plan to take a stock appearing '32 Ford Coupe and year after year transforming it into a streamliner.

A little story; Several years ago at the LA Roaster Show Dan had his '32 Street Coupe and '32 Race car out in the swap area (no non-Roadsters in the display area). Anyway, I was talking to Dan on Saturday about his plans for the car and he wanted to go more aerodynamic that just chopping the top. Sunday there he is with a F-16 (I believe it was a F-16?) Canopy he had bought the night before out in the parts swap area. Picture this, towing down the I-15 to San Diego a black flamed '32 with a F-16 Canopy sticking out of the rumble seat at about a 45 degree angle, followed by the black flamed '32 Race car. The Canopy was nearly as long as the car. I would imagine he got some interesting looks!

Anyway, the front 2 or 3 feet of the Canopy now graces the now narrowed and streamlined '32. I can hardly wait to see the modifications to be made this year.

Dan is the only one I know that has an original Flathead sitting in his living room, along with other car stuff. Did I mention he is single?

Keep up the good work Dan, although I know you will not read this.

I have to return a key to Dan who lives near by.
It is entirely within my scope to give him a copy of this just to see his reaction.

Jack

Dan thinks the Etch-A -Sketch  is a piece of modern equipment like a cad drawing system. He has the 1st credit card from pepboys and uses reclaimed oil other then that Dan's a cool dude even if he does live in your neighborhood.

Yeah know, I talked to Dan about about having an E-mail address, much less a PC. He used Computers when he worked in the design field. He said he didn't have one at home because he said he would probably spent too much time on the Internet, UNLIKE all of us!

Well, another myth put to rest.
