I was reading about a modified street Ford GT40 that ran just over 300 mph in the standing mile and there was mention of Michelin developing a 300 mph tire. Now that super cars are reaching toward 300, they need a tire that can hold up to that speed. Sizes will likely not be what we use in LSR and price per tire will make 300 mph Bonneville tires look cheap. But at least someone is working on a 300 mph tire.
