. . . but even though he lies about his age, I'll wish him a happy birthday, not withstanding.

James - I know it's been a rough year, but I also know that the ship has recently been made right, the forecast for you and Cassie is clear sailing, and the opportunity for the Spirit of Sunshine to move forward in 2019 is optimal.

Chris, you're talking to an Aussie, granted, but still - how about a bit of sympathy for those of us that don't have the affliction of understanding simile and circumlocution and Oz-slang?  You don't need to explain - just let us know if we're to offer sympathies or huzzahs!, please.

I too think that James is not as old as he lets on. I suspect older!   :-D

Happy Birthday Dr..... heard a rumor you have a job.... Since you've been working there for more that a week, hope you were able to take your birthday off and take Cassie drinking up on the mountain.
