I just informed my son that our 40 Chevrolet is now valued a $200K. Since it held records in the vintage classes starting in 1975 and was original constructed at Blairs Speed Shop in Pasadena. There are 4 inspected stickers on the right front windshield 75,76,77, & 87 all record setting years. Let the bidding begin..

OH...I forgot, he's currently making a street rod out of it.

A used Bonneville car that's been off the salt for 40 years?

What did Bombshell Betty - a car that actually passed tech in this century and didn't need restoration - sell for at Barret-Jackson?

Oh, yeah - $36,300.

Next . . .

The Vintage Hammer R/MR recently went for even less than the Bombshell Betty and that car set records also in this Century.  Used LSR race cars seem to not hold their value but some sellers can dream.

Who Cares what it is worth or sells for. Old Bonneville cars that have run and survived the salt are cool to look at.

The pictures are not clear enough to tell what the true condition of the car is. So an interested buyer does not have enough to decide if it is for them.

I attend a lot of the high end collector car auctions and I'm always amazed what some of the more odd-ball vehicles sell for. It seems if the right two people with their fat wallets are in the bidding audience then some vehicles go off the chart. The trick is getting two buyers at the same auction that want the same quirky car bad enough to bid it up.

I know there have been some high dollar well built Bonneville cars on RacingJunk for a long time.

It would be cool to get a better look at the car.
