still have high hopes as we are not planning a return trip to Bonneville anytime soon.
Y'all want to let them get organized a little before you continue the bitch fest... :x
If you think you can do it better, start an organization and make all the arraignments to make a race go smoothly....
Have at it
,,, I sent it to: kturk@ecta-lsr.netThe ECTA website page is authored by Brian Lohnes. Anybody acquainted with him? I tried posting a comment there addressed to Brian, suggesting he post more often here (but I don't know if the comment actually "took"... I got no acknowledgement). I didn't see any email address for Brian.

I have never had to beg this much to volunteer my time to anything before! I am just saying "F" it at this point if they are this screwed up only a few months before the race is supposed to happen!! :? :?

Ok I will give it one last try. What is the phone number since you all say that is the way to contact whoever it is I am supposed to talk to.https://www.facebook.com/StruppServices/posts/1628581393851845
Hoping for a good turn out. I'll be there!
Hey - it kinda looks like I'll be there for the April race. How 'bout that? A guy from not too far away (Mike Segorski) is gonna run his doorslammer - and I'll ride down with him. I have my request in to live stream the audio so youse all can hear it whether or not you're there. Stay tuned for further details.
NOTE TO ALL BIKE RACERS:I'll have my leathers with me but will need to borrow a helmet (hint, hint, hint!)
Hello everyone!! I'm Mike Segorski (Ultra Mike) and as a realllly newbe to LSR. I'm coming to you all for advice and help. I'm registered for the Blytheville event with a Modern Street class MS/8B car. (I think) Yesterday I received my copy of the rules book so I feel that I'm quite a bit behind you all in deciphering what I need to make a pass down track. As near as I can tell I'll have met the car's safety requirements. However..... Here's where I'm struggling. To me the safety gear requirements show ambiguous driver suit spec's for cars running over 200 mph. On page 20 for a blown, supercharged open belt car the suit needs to be SFI 3.2A/20 but on page 62 for over 210 mph it's an SFI 3.2A/1. I'm pretty sure I'm making more of this than necessary but I just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks for your help, EH!
Just saw this on their Facebook page:
Setting up a new facility will take a lot of time. Some extra help in tech Thursday would be appropriated. If you are interested let me or Cj know. Help setting up is also greatly appreciated. Going to do our best to have a fast moving event.
The weather might be less than ideal Friday & Saturday. It is still cool here, we had snow last Saturday, so early mornings will require coats for sure.
And here's a car with an exoskeleton (thanks to Woody for the apt terminology):

I think that's the first time I've seen someone building a rollcage with a higher degree of concern for the safety of the car than its occupant.
And it's an official race. I just got a scolding from Kieth Turk - and I was driving Mike's support truck. Sheesh!
