Title: Bonneville Test & Tune
Post by: jww36 on May 22, 2017, 03:33:52 PM
Salt conditions permitting, when do they usually have the pre Speed Week Test & Tune and for how many days? Does anyone have contact info for event organizer?
Thank,
John

I believe the Mike Cook and crew build the courses for USFRA.  But, the Cooks may be in South America around that time, building the course down there.

Larry Volk and Dennis Sullivan were on the salt last week. They report that the conditions look good enough to go ahead with the 2017 Test-N-Tune. Thursday July 6 will be set up and inspection. Racing will start Friday July 7 and run Saturday and half the day Sunday. Check the USFRA website www.saltflats.com for more information.

The Test-N-Tune track will consist of a three mile run up, to a 132 foot timing trap. No qualifying runs or record runs will be made.
