Uses a picture of Nebulous Theorem VIII (#8080).

13000 foot elevation man that's going to be taxing to just breath let alone get air to burn. :-o

Gregg: you going there to provide the audio feed?

Yeah -- good question. I've always wondered if Gregg gets high -- and 13,000 feet is sure high.
Oh - you mean like high altitude? Sorry.

Interesting that this place should pop up this week.
On Friday, September 23, the movie "Salero" will be shown as part of the Milwaukee Film Festival -

It shows at 4:00 - I'm intending to duck out of work early and see it.

I didn't know the BLM had gone international.
Or maybe it's the Bolivia Land Mining raping for profit division.

Had MAJOR fun in my misguided youth of MANY decades ago. I did learn there were better things to do with money! :-D

Grace, what's this "...many years ago in my youth..." stuff? I don't see it that I'm anywhere near done being a youth. Are you giving up already?

13,000 feet.......This would be a great venue for turbocharged engines
-
I have heard that you would have to flight your racing rigs in and land on the salt.
If that's the case your talking Big $$$$$$ to go race.

Looking in to it.

If you read the movie trailer in Chris's link, it seems the Bolivian government is bringing access to the area so mining can start.

Realistically, that'll be another salt flat we'll be able to kiss goodbye - They're mining Lithium.

Probably the metal and not the drug.... otherwise they would have too many happy workers

Yanno, I'd never thought about it, but now that you mention the lithium there (I think the metal and the drug, Stainless, are sorta kinda related in some way. . .) does make sense. That is --
Lithium is the lightest metal in the periodic table, and so it makes sense that it floated to the highest elevations during the cooling of the liquid earth, right?
Yeah, I thought so. Glad I figgered it out. . .

Well... the email address returns as no good from my account.
