The colors in the rear are just there as place markers as it gets hard to tell which cut surfaces on the wheel fairings are associated with the cut surfaces on the fuselage.
If we were area ruling for Mach 1.0, I think the cuts would be straight and not conical. Eric can verify this. This means that when area ruling, there will be sweet spots depending on velocity.
