I am looking for gear sets for a Casale parallel shaft gear reduction unit. They have a 4 inch center to center and are 1.250 wide. I am looking for 1.2 thru 1.33 sets. If they are the wider gear I can turn them down. Any lead would be appreciated. I would use the old straight cut gears they made in the 60's also. Thanks George

I believe the Casale parallel box you're talking about is what we ran in the old conventional hydroplanes back in the day as a "Z" drive. They had a 10 spline gear & I always wondered if they were the same as a 10 spline quick change gear but I never had both at the same time. Even if that is the case, (no pun intended) a new set of gears from Casale shouldn't be too expensive.

Well a new set are about $700. A used set of QC gears are about $20-$50 depending on manufacturer at a swap meet. The center to center on QC gear is 3.5 and the shaft is 1.25 compared to 1.375. I have found a couple sets but they all need modifying. The Casale is way overkill for my application but it was in the car.
