No need Robin the bike just yesterday exceeded 550 mph one way the return pass will have to wait until after the
the show. It was in a 747 does that count under FIM rules?

Having recently been reading about the exploits of Rosemeyer and Caracciola (and others) in the 1930s, I thought the plan might be to run on a German autobahn. 8-)

Mike I'm seriously impressed. Getting the FIM to extend their turnaround time rule is one thing but persuading them that a 747 is a moveable aerodynamic device takes a man with your skills of persuasion 8-)
Now all you have to do is figure out how to attach the bike to an F15 as a drop tank and you can beat Andy to 1,000mph. Mind you, that would have to be at altitude as well because I think they only do around 900mph at low level.

The full-length film may just be the best LSR documentary ever. Great, great video shots. Real drama, not that made-up crap you see on the various custom car and hot rod "reality" TV shows. I loved the simple logical solution to the shifting problem. Who needs six gears? Just tighten your jock strap and dump the rev limiter. That's racing by anybody's standards. Better than great stuff. :cheers:
