Title: GREAT RECOGNITION IN OUR SPORT!

Saturday night (1/17/15) during the 2014 American Motorcyclist Association Awards Banquet one of our own received great recognition.
Erin Hunter was awarded "2014 AMA FEMALE RACER OF THE YEAR".
A wonderful and very much deserved honor.

I would like to personally extend my congratulations to her,
along with all other 2014 AMA and F.I.M. motorcycle landspeed record setting people.

Looking forward to the 2015 Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials.

Erin is a brilliant, benevolent light in the sport.

Always quick with a smile and honestly engrossed with trying to enrich the sport on some level, in some way. When I bring her to mind, the observations of this woman are always positive, uplifting and cheerful. To be recognized by your peers is the highest form of reinforcement that what you do matters, is valued and makes a difference in the lives of people you may never meet. I would be remiss not to mention her partner Andy Sills who "stands by his gal" with ready enthusiasm to aid her in whatever, whenever.

I stand and salute Erin Hunter for her unselfish and effervescent
presence in the sport of land speed racing!

The AMA could not have chosen a more deserving lady. Oh, and did mention, the girl can ride? Fast. Very Fast.

It was great to see Erin get her well earned due and hang with some of the other Salt Racers.
