Last Tuesday was my birthday, I would rather most birthdays just pass and move on !
But, This year at least four people I know told me, Happy B day, Congrats you did it this year, You finally ran Bonneville ! This year marks my 40th year since the first time I told my buddy "Can I try it ? On his Suzuki 185 enduro, Since that ride I have ridden every bike i ever was able to get my hands on . Even in the lean years when i didnt own any motorcycles,I still managed to borrow one or demo ride, and in that 40 years no more than a couple of months went by without riding. I know my love of bikes is shared by so many other bike nuts. I think i can sum up the feeling on a bike, Circa 1979 I was at a red light sitting on my Kawasaki 1000 with low drag bars,And older lady crossing the street stopped looked over at me and said You must feel like Superman Flying on that thing HaHa , I Did and still do ! This year I did that riding at The Bonneville Salt Flats ! Of course im going back this year, How could I not, What a fantastic place , And to know your on the same salt as Legends from Breedlove to Carr blows me away !
We live in a Beautiful country, I wish most could appreciate it a little more, And to any of you ever in the Military "Thank You" !
