Sparky --

I've done a little research to no avail, but I believe those two casting are quite different.  I'm no Hemi expert (only got one), but the I believe the '55 has quite a different port configuration.

(So no help here.)

That shows how much I know -- I thought they were the small port early heads.

Stan,

Small port early heads were 51-53 extended bell-housing motors.

Sparky,

The 1955 # 1556157-1 are known as the triple nickle heads and they are the heads everyone wants so they command big bucks.

Did you try Albert Eshenbaugh, I know he runs early Hemi motors, and he has been known to wound them once in a while!

Sparky, I sold a whole crate of hemi stuff quite a few years ago to a guy who owns Willys Replacement Parts. He is some where in CA. If you want I can probably get you a name and number.
