Title: Dick Rusell
Post by: dw230 on September 21, 2013, 11:37:11 PM
At Friday night's board meeting we found out that Dick Russell passed last week. Dick was a long time Indy mechanic working for such luminaries as AJ Foyt, Al and Al Jr, Parnelli and others. Dick became a member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club in 1995 driving the Star Spangled Banner lakester, a modified march Indy Car chassis. Dick was also a member of the El Mirage 200 MPH Club.

Unfortunately, there is no services info available at this time.

God Speed Dick,

Dan & Joanie

I worked with Dick at Holman-Moody-Stroppe in the late 60's. His name in the shop was " Tricky Dick ".
A great fabricator and always thinking. Learned a lot from him.

RIP Tricky

I always enjoyed talking with Dick, it seemed every time we would talk he had must of just drank a gallon of vinegar and was always very interesting.  Like Doug Odom mentioned "Tricky Dicky kind of stuck with him.  I would have love to see his "Tricky Dicky" Model A run.  Tony
