l know the weather can be very difficult to predict for the Wilmington area for the next day but I didn't get to make last years Sept. event. So what is the typical weather like for late September has the summer cooled off and is it a dry time of year as here in the S.E. or is it a period of high rainfall.
This is directed more toward residents of the region,
Thanks

we were blessed with a TAILWIND, the rest was just a blur.
I believe it was moderate, no rain, and sunny.
I refuse to talk about this September when it comes to the big ''W'' word for fear of offending the TAILWIND God!
however I pray for a tailwind every day!

Don't worry about a tailwind. Let Ransom be on the line when you go. I'm sure he will start his bike, start a fire over the lithium battery and under the NOS bottle. The resulting explosin will be your tailwind.

September is a very interesting month for this region of the country. Conditions can be extreme. A quick look at the records for those dates show a 70F spread. The record high for the 28th is 98F and the record low for the 28th is 27F. Averages are 73 and 48. Normally it isn't as rainy, but if a major storm hits the Gulf the reminites can head North as far as Wilmington and we could have boat races.

Indian summer comes AFTER the first frost.

There was a forecast of patchy frost in the interior west portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula last night. It didn't get that cold here - in the center. This morning the thermometer showed a toasty 38.5F.

Maxton September and October of 2010 I wouldn't have bet a penny against a dollar that anyone would get a run in either Saturday!
