Title: PRO body
Post by: btg on August 14, 2013, 06:13:52 PM
I noticed a PRO car that ran and set a record with some sort of hood cowl that was not production. Are there some sort of exceptions for hoods in the PRO category?

Hood must be stock to year and MFG of the car. Hood scoops are allowed. There are rules about placement, size etc in the rule book, paragraph 4R.

I'm fairly certain the OP is referring to our #3663 XXO/PRO entry. The car set a class record on Monday with a 142.895 average, and was certified in impound. As for the hold scoop, please refer to section. 5.E.1 on page 80 of the 2013 rule book which lists the allowed modifications.

On another note, we ran over 154 today. The car is in impound tonight and we hope to better that number in the morning.

Indeed. We're back in line at course 2 hoping to bump our 149.336 record from this morning up and over 150.

Thanks for the info. My rulebook is somewhere...?

Great work out there.
