Title: meth injection
Post by: flight704 on May 26, 2013, 09:35:16 PM
hello

i am new to the ecta and planning on building a car this year.  i purchased a 2013 rule book in wilmington in april...    the book says i can run water injection but the techs have to seal the container in the car..

i have a snow performance boost cooler which uses 51/49 meth water mixture i was planning on using when i run..   can i run it with the 51/49 mixture they recommend or  if i run this set up does it make me move the car to the fuel category  ?????

any guidance appreciated

thx duke :)

Using the methanol would move you to fuel class.

You can run plain water, and have the bottle sealed the same as the fuel tank. I have a Snow H2O injection setup also, and that's what I'll have to do in the gas classes.

Have fun!

i kind of figured that is the way it would go. There is no harm in asking questions. My son found this site and after reading for a while  i realized what a great resource this could be for us..  So i joined up as well.  better to ask now then try to explain to tech people your logic and not be able to run is kind of what i am thinking LOL

Anyways thank you for taking the time to answer me  this is the first of a hundred or so questions i have buzzing around in my head..  You will probably see more questions from me in the future..

thx again
 DUKE :)

Once the druggies figure out the mix is denser when cold, they'll be joining in droves.

Hey! Don't mistake our fun for . . . anything but fun. The meth lead in was just too much for this crowd.

Your question was answered in the first two responses. Waiting for more!

It's pretty easy to change the title of the topic, by the way.  I think it's done by you going back to the original post and making the change there.  Of course -- maybe the title is like regular posts in that you aren't allowed to make changes after something like 4-6 hours post post.  If you really, really want it changed -- I can do it.  Let's see, what could I change it to.  Advanced Alcoholism for engines?  Water and alcohol don't mix nearly as well in engines as they do in a shot glass?

Nah, I'll let it go.  For now.

This is all just clean fun, don't take it to heart. We like to joke around a lot here.
The "meth lab" about had me falling out of my Astro Van chair.

Maybe I'll start one "crackhead needs a fix" , about how to go about repairing a crack between the spark plug and valve. :-D

I restrained myself from throwing this one in there, figured it was up to a different clown.  :-D
