Everyone loves the Harvest Event, Right?
Well, we do too. Less pressure, more laid back, cooler temps, more runs, Monday holiday to drive home. Who would dare to ask for more reasons to race?
The problem is that the event has been lightly attended for the last two years. And with all of the overhead involved in putting on the event we are sorry to say that it may not be possible to continue. All of that said, you are our racers and we want you to be able to race, so we will leave it to you.
SO, HERE'S THE DEAL:
We are asking our racers that want to race this fall to get registered BUT DO NOT PAY! I REPEAT, DO NOT PAY!!!
After the Maine Event, if we have 75 racers registered for the fall, the show will go on. If we do not, I am sorry to say, we will have to cancel it.
I truly hope that this arrangement will work for everyone.

Quick clarification:
On the website, when you register, you can choose either the summer or fall on the form. It is the first box to choose from.

It is correct in assuming then that if the Harvest race is held it would be on Labor day weekend, Aug 30- Sept 1st?
-
Yes Jesse and sorry for not including it.
The dates will be the 30th - the 1st
-
I'm in.
-
I'm going to go to the site and sign up right now.

I do wish I could sign up for the Harvest event. I absolutely loved it last year. I was really happy with the Labor day weekend also. There is just no way to swing both events this season. I do hope you get enough entries. It is a great time and a great event.

I have a question for you guys that cant make it.
Does the event being so close to Bub's and World of speed make it not possible for you to attend?
Not that it really matters, just curious.
-
I can't get the week off this year.
-
I just sent out a mass e-mail to 25 folks that I know may have even the slightest interest in registering for the Harvest Event. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Do people registering for the 135 class count towards the minimum 75 you're looking for?
-
Yes, 135 counts

I just did the same thing plus posted it up on my FB page.
For me its Lorning or nothing. I cant afford to travel, so....

Work is the reason I can't make it this year. Ohio 4 times a year and 1 Maine eat away the vacation time. Last year I also did Texas so no carry over days this year. I will continue to talk it up in hopes you can get the event done.
-
Neil, hope to see you and the wife in Ohio and at the maine event this year.

Registered for the fall event, hope it happens.
-
how is this event doing number wise?
-
Hello Everyone,
The fall event is coming along and reg is going good, but we still have not met our goal of 75 registered by the summer event. I know that everyone says how much they love the fall event with the cool air and short lines, so if you want a second event, remember to get registered soon.
Remember, when you register, choose the fall event from the drop down menu and DO NOT PAY YET. We will send out an email when we have reached the number and it is time to send in payment.
-
How many have registerd as of right now?
-
Any new news on Sept?
-
OK, The moment you have all been waiting for:
The Harvest Event will be a GO for 2013!
We are not at our goal yet, but the velocity of registrations will get us there. Please spread the word and help us fill it up!
-
that is good to hear, Tim.
I really hope that it stays as an annual event.

RIP Bill. Thank you for your dedication and example .
I'm in for the Harvest Event.

For us Jessy - the Gray Ghost Project - that's exactly the problem. We are already pre registered for the AMA/BUB Bonneville event the last week of August, which it is traditionally scheduled, or we would love to have attend. Can't be at two places at the same time. The track at LTA is the best piece of pavement I have ever raced at, and all the volunteers and racers are top shelf. We will be back .Our first trip to LTA this year was very enjoyable - except of course for loosing Bill Warner - RIP Bill, we will all miss your smile and presence.

I have zero running bikes and no vacation days for the Harvest Event. The ZX-10R will be back up and running for the ECTA closer, but not quick enough for the Harvest over Labor Day. Hopefully we can save the ZX-6rr also. The damage so far seems minimal to that bike. Wishing everyone the best.

Who's ready to go racing? I am, actually I have never been this anxious to get back down the track... not sure why. I wont be setting any records in Sept., but something is really pushing me. After July I didn't know when I would race again, now it seems as though I am deeper than ever. Maybe it is redemption for Bill.....maybe
Hope to see everyone soon!
-
I am pumped too! It feels like being back in grade school and the last day of school/first day of summer is right around the corner! Let's keep our fingers crossed for good weather!

We wish all of you the best. Still recovering from July. The ZX-10 is close to ready and we will hopefully test it next week somewhere. It has taken a while to get the crash damage repaired. The ZX-6 is still in doubt. A broken exhaust valve causedcylinder, head and piston damage. We are rushing that repair in hopes both bikes will make it to Ohio in Sept. Wish we could be there.
