Just a note....

If it doesn't rain the dirt doesn't change.   :-o

Sorry for being a smart arse.

Im probably going to the meet next month and will be heading over Friday night. Is there some place nearby like a rest stop or something that I can stop and sleep for the night in my car. I dont want to be trying to setup a tent and such at the lakebed at midnight or later.

As far as i know there is no rest stop near elmo but if you get there after dark you can pull in and park next to the lake bed.

The lakebed is what it is when you get there. If you live too far away, personal choice, you either come or you don't.

It is the same ground for all entries. Sometimes good, sometimes bad - come out and enjoy being with fellow LSR racers. If the lakebed is not so much, there will be stories told, and drinks involved.

     Well said Dan.

I haven't gotten to El Mo - yet - but  have been attending all forms of motorsports events as far away as the salt for over 60 years.  At some it was storming everywhere but on the course itself, others were great car or M/C shows if a bit cold or damp, always a brain to pick or tech to learn even if I can't bend the elbow the way I used to.

If you can't enjoy the journey you'll never fully appreciate what a meet can offer.  Go every chance you can, otherwise it's an opportunity forever lost.

It won't get updated if no body asks. Just trying to point everyone in the direction of the thread that's existed for years instead of a new thread in the not quite correct sub-forum.
