Title: piston engine wheel driven LSR attempts for 2013??

I assume SpeedDemon will be active for 2013 LSR season.

My friend was telling me tonite that there are a couple of possible other contenders for new piston engine wheel driven LSR during 2013.

He mentioned one team, whose name I can't remember, that he felt had the potential for 500+ mph.  I guess I expressed a bit of skepticism...........

Is there anyone out there with a realistic shot at going faster than SpeedDemon this season?

If yes, is there a place on the Internet where I could see a brief summary of the contenders?

There is another thread, can't remember the title now(4 Barrel Mike will find it), that lists the potential 400MPH runners.


There are big dreams for 500MPH. My personal opinion is that there is not enough miles to run 500+. The longest course we can get for the Shootout is 11.5 miles with mud on both ends.
