Title: Uh Oh!!
Post by: AHG on April 05, 2013, 12:16:30 PM
Hi, have you seen Drew around?
About an hour ago he told me my bike wouldn't pass technical inspection,
so I thought I'd try running it through again. HA!  :-)

p.s.
pre-entry is coming up in the very near future, so get ready.

Come on, you all know as well as I do that that photo was staged.  After all -- when have you ever let the gas station attendant fill your bike's gas tank?

We've only been in Oregon on a bike a couple of times -- but wherever we went the gas pump jockey (there's an old term, by the way) would say something like "You'd rather pump the gas yourself, wouldn't you?" :-)

Rick gold always hands the nozzle to me when we're at the ERC truck, too.

Note the side car.  "Circus World" is in Baraboo, Wisconsin, but that organization used to conduct "The Great Circus Parade" here in Milwaukee for a lot of years.  They'd load up the train in Baraboo, offload the wagons and animals at the station in Beerhaven, and from 1972 until just a few years ago, Ernest Borgnine was the "Grand Clown" who led the parade.

I'm thinking that was taken at the old Shell station at the corner 13th and St. Paul Avenue.  Probably after 1978 - Wisconsin repealed it's helmet laws in '78.

This is definitely not in Oregon.

1. We have a helmet law.

2. It is not raining.

The bike looks like a 1978 Honda 400 twin.
