Try putting "Brian Boatman" in the search bar here on this Forum.  He's a local guy in Wendover that usually rents out his basement/apartment to racers.  I forget how many beds and people fit in it -- but I know it's got its own bathroom and am told it is pretty nice.  The price wasn't nearly as high ass the regular motel/casino prices for SpeedWeek, too.

Yes I did check the Red Garter.....They are full.
Supply and demand I guess. Rooms at the Rainbow are 160/night ouch. Considering staying at the bend....
