Are these the LSR Frontrunners (officially rated at 300mph) or the dragrace front runners?..... the difference is, I believe, several hundred dollars apiece and possibly something actually being different about the construction of the tire - although any real difference is NOT guaranteed....

The D-1962 tires would be the drag race version. We have run those to 200 MPH, and I think others have run them to 250 or there abouts.

Not surprised at the quick sale.... you did have them "priced to sell"

Just so you (or anyone) know(s)..... many of us have run them up to well over 200mph with no trouble...any supposed problems that I had with any of the frontrunners that I ran were NOT due to the tires themselves.... the two "failures" that I had over the years were due to running over debris on the course...

And.... we have had our Goodyear LSR front runners go flat on us on two occasions.... careful inspections of the tires have NOT shown up anything bad in the tires....so (what).....centrifugal force causes the tires to "unseat" a bit on the beads?....it used to be a problem on top fuel cars

I see that the tires have sold.  It's common practice for me to delete the entire topic when something sells here, but since this was a good discussion of the Goodyear LSR vs. drag tires, including the part number -- I think I'll leave it be.

Slim.... if there is another relevant technical discussion regarding these tires, could you merge the comments?...

Yes, I can merge 'em.  But you'll have to tell me what other thread is relevant.  Thanks.

Jon, I thought we decided were going to leave the items that were sold up for reference purposes and mark them sold... That is why all of the ones that have been sold have  SOLD in the title now.  If we need to clear out some space, erase everything that is a year old... about the last 10 pages

Well, yeah -- but.

I agree with the rememberance that we're going to leave these up -- but I still also do pay respect when someone tells me to remove the thread once the item is sold, or if the item is something really generic and the information in the for sale thread is of little value.  In general, though, I've been leaving them up and visible.  We sure don't have such a shortage of room that I have to be careful of each and every kilobyte.

PS  The last ten pages of what -- your posts?

Yes, I guess I wasn't clear enough... the last ten pages of for sale ads... Maybe Bob can set that up to expire for sale after 1 year.  If it requires manual work, I will be happy to take care of that as time permits.
