Title: Jan 1 or Feb 1?
Post by: Gary Perkinson on December 22, 2012, 06:59:49 PM
Hey, everyone:

Does registration for the April Wilmington meet open on 1/1/13 or 2/1/13? I could have sworn that people were talking about January 1, but the first item on the ECTA homepage (which, granted, is dated October 8, so things could have changed) says February 1. Just want to make sure I have the right date...

I saw the same thing. I'm pretty sure it had said January 1st up until a couple days ago.

Can't send registrations in until Feb.1,? Wonder why a one month change, possible cost change for the ECTA?

They are real busy folks, and mayhaps they plan to party hearty for new years and may take awhile to recop. And there is only one person that handles all of the registrations.

there is a lot to put together.  Memberships,  rule books,  then registration.  Plus they have day jobs.

I know I have talked to Keith and Tonya quite often this time of year and I don't see how especially Tonya gets everything accomplished and Joe and Donna also. Between their day jobs and organizing and keeping up with the scoring for Hotrod drag week Tonya has more energy than I had at 25 and she is probably close to 30. Keith really lucked out when he got such a younger woman to accept his proposal.

Joe, Keith, and I all agree on at least one thing - we married WAY up.  Tonya and Donna are forces of nature!  Bad taste in men but I guess that can't be helped (ME's taste in men is questionable, too).
