Hello everyone,
I trust that this email finds you all well. I wanted to announce that 2013 Maine Event Registration is now Open!
The dates are:
Racing – July 12-13-14
Tech - July 11-12-13
We have changed the format of racing so that everyone is running for records in the mile and 1 ½ mile on every run. It worked extremely well last fall so it is being rolled out for everyone in 2013.
There will be much to follow but this should be enough for everyone to get their vacation scheduled and their registration confirmed.
Please note that we are requiring ALL entrants to provide their address and shipping information with their registration. There has been some grumbling online about certificates not being received, and in many of those cases, it was due to incomplete or incorrect information. It only takes a couple of minutes, so please be thorough.
The 2013 Harvest event has yet to be determined.

Registration made out! now to work on my upgrades :-D

Hope there is enough interest in the Harvest event to hold it. I participated 2012 and would like to return in 2013.
Happy and Healthy Holidays To All

Has anyone out there paid for registration for the Maine Event and received a confirmation of some kind? I registered in November as soon as it opened and haven't heard anything yet. I also tried to contact a couple of the LTA folks and haven't heard anything.

Ok, thanks. I used the email addresses on the LTA website to try to contact you and Sotomayor. Also wanted to know if I could volunteer my time to help you with any preparations you needed. I'm about 6 hours south, but I'd be glad to help in any way I can.

I hope the fall event isn't same time as Bub again... we love coming to Maine!!

My wife and I have both registered to run in the 135 street class in the July event. I have wanted to Land Speed Race for some time now. Been a spectator at the July event for the past 3 years. Finally get to compete and learn the ropes. See you all there!

Just an Update on The Maine Event
Registration is chugging along nicely but it is filling up.
We are way over 100 and we are still 11 weeks out.
So, don't get left out in the hot sun with nothing more than your crankshaft in your hand!

Hello everyone,
The Maine Event is coming up quickly so we need to remind everyone of a couple of things. Our field is limited to 150 entries and they are filling up. So, if you plan on coming, you better get registered for two reason:
1) Early registration ends in 2 weeks. So if you are not registered and paid by July 1st the price goes from $250 to $400.
2) We will have a waiting list when it fills, but I think people would rather race than wait and hope a slot opens up.
Also, If you want a racers pack, orders must be in by July 1st as well because we only make what the racers order.

Who is the fuel vendor for the upcoming July event? I need to make sure they bring something I can run in my gas class car.

Please check the Fuel for July thread

If you use a fuel that they can not sell in Maine you can bring a sealed can thke it to the fuel truck and have them fill your tank and seal it and you are good to go for gas class. Nitro and Methanol don't wont work in gas class.
