Anybody have a good sorce for ceramic wheel bearings (car)?

I have used these guys http://www.performancebearing.com/index.html but hold on to your wallet, ceramic bearings for cars are expensive. Tony

I just got two sets of Bearings in from Dave @ WWB for the hub center steering units I'm designing. I called him on Wednesday and the bearing arrived to my shop on Monday. I don't see how anyone could ask for anything better than that.
Now I just need to get more chips in the pan so I'll have some parts to fit them too.

Thinking about going this route myself... my question is has anyone made this change and no others and how much faster did you go... I've always seen claims that road racers are faster with this swap in bearings but because I've never seen an isolated change I'm having a tough time deciding if it's for me or not

I chose to go with ceramic bearings for safety reasons. The speed rating is much higher than steel bearings, and ceramic don't rust.
The way I see it, if they roll out better with less friction, that's just a bonus, but not the primary consideration.
If it's safer, I don't care so much about the cost.

ABEC 7 steel roller bearings will run 60,000 rpm. Front wheels don't run that fast.
If rusted bearings are a concern, the only way the bearing can rust is to get water inside. If water can get in, so can any foreign object.
The ceramic bearing won't rust, and is certainly harder, but foreign object damage can still happen. Steel or ceramic the bearing has to be protected.
So that leaves us with the speed question. Before you dismantle your old setup with steel bearings, do a spin down test.
Then put in the ceramic bearings and do the same. Spin it up, go get a cup of coffee and sit back, it will take a while.

Moisture is the big thing when washing salt from around bearings, even with the best seals. Size matters when speed rating comes into play, 60mm X110mm X22mm steel bearing are generally good to or around 6,000 Rpm when new. Who knows what that rating is, after they get a few years on them. Your right; you Probably will not turn the wheel that RPM, not even half that, so RPMs. are not the only consideration.
Safest bet for high speed over long distance is ceramic, "Hands Down". I have lost steel bearings at speed, "once", it want happen again.

Ok so since we are currently turning low speeds it wouldn't be a needed swap at this point... when we get to the point of higher speeds that's where the safety nature of the bearing shines a bit more
