Title: Tether kill switch cord
Post by: Uncle Jimbo on September 22, 2012, 12:30:27 PM
We have a brand new Pingel switch & cord - It has an inner core winding of material but doesn't look like metal. It has the crimped ends like the picture in the rule book.
The rule book says metal core.  Is the new Pingel cord acceptable ?  I have been to a couple dealors - Yamaha & H. D. asking about a cord with a metal core and all I get is crinkled eye brows.  If the new Pingel is not acceptable - where does a guy get one with the metal core in time for next weekend ?
Thanks  for any reliable info -
Respectfully
Jimbo

Come on to the race and let us look at it. Because of all the bad ones, we have the new and improved model in the Registration Trailer.

Thanks Bill - The Pingel we have is brand new &  their latest.  I don't think the cord should have to be changed - but if so I'll just get the cord Joe mentioned at the registration trailer.  Its been awhile my friend - it'll be good to see you and have a b s session.
Looking forward.

Jime I took a look at the Fast by gast site and the tether kill switch cord they have looks good. I have to e-mail them as it says 7/8" bars and I could not find one for 1 inch.  If you have any other site reccommendations where I can look I would apreciate it.
I don't want to get out there and be a newbee caught with my pants down.

check with pingel.
their switches come in 4 different handlebar diameters.
there is also 1 that is a panel mount.
