Title: pre-certifying engine?
Post by: bitpusher on August 21, 2012, 03:53:59 AM
what is the process for pre-certifying and sealing an engine?  i plan to run several classes and going up-n-down is going to be prohibitive both in terms of time/money..

First thing ou have to do is set a record. then they will have you go to impund where they will seal your engine.  (They do this with paint on your head bolts) Once you are ready to tear down you go back to impound where they watch you take it apart and verify that your engine is proper size.

If you want they can then re-seal yor engine again after you put it back togther in impound and you will not have to do tear down again as it has been verified.
