Finnish driver Jorma Karjalainen on a Kawasaki ZZR1400 Turbo, representing team ANY10, run 253,85 mp/h (408,54 km/h) on a standing mile in Finland 14.6.2012.

There is an airport standing mile event in progress in Finland today as we speak, lets see what the result is from today.

"back to the future" thinking, 8-),, that turbo is mounted directly onto the standard air intake plenium,,, old school concept, :wink:,

Some gremlins showed up and the bike did not make any new personal records that day.

Now the bike has gone 420.76km/h (260.98mph), with definite room for improvement still.

The bike has about 600hp.

I stand corrected, the real speed seems to be 261,5mph.

4th fastest in the world im the standing mile.
