Wow. Impressive. Will it be used on the salt? That small frontal area will be a big advantage there.

No salt for this beast. It is destined for the 1 mile at Wilmington and El Mirage.

Question: What do you mean by "lay down" frame? Do you mean that your legs will be straight back? I assume this is to get the overall height as low as possible, right? What is the total height going to be?

Yes, my legs wont be full horizontal but i will not be in the sitting position. I will lay on the modified low plenum. I guess it is a sort of lay out ride. But this chassis has been extended to the point where the handlebars have to be reached for in a laying out osition.
76" axle to axle.

Guy - Just for the record. The Chapman drag bike is 72 inches axle to axle ... it is a long reach. A lot will depend on where the seat is ... Joe

76" is the longest the bike can be, it can be much shorter for El Mirage and other venues at needed..

Yep, 76" is the longest. The chassis is designed this way for a specific reason. Weight transfer on different surfaces with a dual rider height and arm stretch have all been taken into consideration. The best of many worlds. We ARE going to go deep into the 200's with the hopes of achieving 300mph. This requires a lot of out of the box engineering. I'm no structural/aero design engineer, but I play one on T.V.

Guy - I like the concept and design. The chassis designs for crotch rocket LSR bikes has lagged behind the engine developments. Keep us race fans posted.

Just kidding guys... However one of the pioneers recently had a mild heart attack, but we all expect to see Marty Dickerson at the Bub event. You can find him in Max's pit most of the time.

Michelle and I went to dinner with Guy,his lovely wife, his sister and her husband. We saw some current pictures of the rolling chassis and spoke about the bike, he is working on his Flying Tiger build and I am sure will post another article soon. It looks great just sitting there... :cheers:
