First of all, I tried to post this under the For Sale by private business heading but for what ever reason it wont take new posts.
Now to the matter at hand, I posted on this site about a year ago how I had contacted Slim and Nancy about making engraved wooden plaques to thank my crew members for making my whole racing experience the best chapter of my life.
With nothing more than a email, I recieved in less than two weeks time, nine beutifully done plaques, each with the crew members name on them.
The reaction from my crew, many of them long time friends, was to say the least overwhelming.
I am repeating this post as not only a plug for Slim and Nancy's business, but as a reminder to all that a little "off season love" can easely become a real incentive for those who toil to make our dreams happen.

The "for sale by private business" section is for small shops and racers that make one or three items -- like one-offs -- that they'll sell to a few other racers. It's pretty inexpensive compared to buying regular ads here and is restricted -- you can't post there without my permission.
Thanks for the help, Bob. We're doing a bit of this and that for the racers now - and hope that a bunch of them/you will look into the full-color photos that we now can put on mugs and acrylic discs and so on. Here's your chance to immortalise your crew or your bike or whatever - for a pretty reasonable cost. Get in touch with me, hokay?

Can we see a picture of the placques? I would love to do something like this for my crew.

Fred, I didn't make one for myself so sorry, no...........
They were somewhere in the vicinity of 6X8 Hardwood with some type of low sheen brass with the pertinate info on it thanking each person for making the car work while being driven like slaves.
Bottom line, you would not be dissapointed, and if you are you can sneak up behind Slim at Speedweek and give him a "wedgie". Bob

Dang -- I can't copy the art onto this forum. The art is in an "illustrator" format/program, and I don't have a photo, either. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for asking, Fred.

And for all who have not yet ordered your L/R .com hats from Slim...DO IT NOW. Received mine today and it is a fine product. For the sake of decency, I decided not to post a picture of myself wearing it, But instead , Here is a picture of Mrs.Floydjer and her favorite ball cap.

Say there, you wouldn't be looking for a live in handyman by any chance?
Being retired, I can stick around the house even when you are at work....................

Nope -- that's not Nancy. She has tattoos - this lady doesn't :-P.
-
If that lady needs a tat I gotta sharpy :-D
-
I wanna know how Jon knows she doesn't.
-
Well, I'll append that comment of mine like this: That lady doesn't have visible tattoos in the photo -- a similar photo of Nancy would certainly show some ink. There, Mr. SB - - is that better?
-
Tats aside, it appears that she is up to date on her rabies vacinations [the lady in the photo not Nancy].
-
Tats? I'm glad you've chosen your vowel carefully.
-
Can I buy a "I"?............................... :-D

I wanna know how Jon knows she doesn't.Yes Slim, I would like to know as well....I`ve done a visual/tactile inspection of every square inch of that canvas and have found no evidence of ..................artwork.
