So - did Papi pester a ride from you, or did he get his downer kow together in time? :-D
-
Great run, was that your fastest to date at EM?
-
Thanks everyone...
We ran a great speed and were blessed with another increased track record..
Tomorrow if we run over 240 and don't up the record then we may run again after adding some weight and taking the power down a bit for a better chance at improving the record speed.
If we run under 240 then we are done with our two runs for the event, currently we have the fastest speed ever at El Mirage on our first pass this season.
Again thanks to all..

Joe,
John was 10mph over the class record, 2 mph over his remarkable 240 naked run in June of '08 that re-set the track record. Certainly impressive!
-
Hey John,
Excellent !

Thanks again to all:
We had a great time and went preety good, I was told we had some competition coming out so we wanted to make a good pass as I may not be certain to attend the June meet and we knew the best course would be the first event if we have no further help from mother nature.
We tried two new things that worked great and will be on the bike(s) for future runs.
We also ran 240+ on Sunday morning and with that run we were not rewarded with a record as the new record is 242.106 mph.
We looked at the course and realized rather than waste time hoping to better the 242 run we would leave right after the 240 run, this also made Michelle very happy as I was able to get us home at 11:30 am which happened to get me home in time to watch the NBA game..
Our aspirated bike was the second fastest two wheeler of the event and even went a tick faster than another SDRC club member riding another Turbo Hayabusa.
We are not trying for the points championship this year and really now just want to concentrate on laying down some great top speeds, next event we run at will probably be in the 1350 class to attempt to up those records that are not ours and also run our other bike as well.
Congrats to all the racers and thank you to the fellow volunteers that allow us to pursue our LSR dreams!
Congrats to Rick for getting the top car pass/record with the Turbo flathead Costella streamliner.
SDRC ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :-D

You tried WHAT two new things....? Cmon you can tell me, no one will find out....
Don
-
Don,
For all of these years I have held nothing back and told everyone of our EXACT combinations right down to HP, AFR, RPM, tire slip and more..these is two things I will hold close to the vest however..I will say we did share some tire temp info with the SCTA.
-
obviously one was.... gray primer :-D
Nice to see more people logging tire temp.
Bill
-
:-D Could it have anything to do with the diet you went on? Packin less weight equals more speed? (Just given ya a hard time Johnny!) Crow.
-
obviously one was.... gray primer :-D
Bill
Dangit Bill figgered half of it out...
-
He had to loose weight, they don't allow spandex in the joints of his leathers.

I did "lose" some weight, my leathers are not "loose" on me..
Spandex....no more like diapers when running at Mirage that fast.. :-o
Glen did you see either of the runs from the start or mid track? If so please tell us what you saw..
It was great to see you there and also Cris and Ed too.
John
-
I saw the first run from the start area and you were all over the place, No traction, I would have pussed out before 2nd gear.
-
John, I saw both runs and it was loose up to mid track and looked better to the end. Strong runs. Give Michelle a hug for me and it's about time you put a ring on her.
-
Thanks for the info Glen, some people can't believe we were able to go that fast twice on that course..
Yes Michelle is very deserving of that ring..
Thanks for the info..
John
