I have a 58 Ford 2dr wagon I was thinking of building for El Mirage and Bonneville. Something different.
Is it considered a Coupe, or a Ranchero with a permanent shell, or not Do-able? A Ford Pinto is essentially the same thing, just rounder.
I know it might be like sending a rolling brick down the course. But this one should do pretty well.
I hope.
Original body appearance, Built Ford Fe engine (not an original 332).
Thanks

It's a sedan.

My friend Phil Stevenson had a 55 Chevy 4-Door Wagon with a mild 390 Cad w/Jetaway. We drove it to SW in '72, ran B/Gas, turned 149+ -- been hooked ever since.

Ray, I think it would be a Sedan... since it is a 1958 I think you can run Classic class ?
Good luck, if you can post your build in the build diaries.

That's right it would be a "Classic Sedan" And we need more FEs and Y blocks out there running. Maybe some more Packards to. We have the SBC deal pretty well covered. Welcome.

Why would someone use a Ford Motor ? (Heck my 33 and 36 Fords are SBC all the way !!!)
Just kidding all you Ford guys,,, Now as far as Hot Rods and Street Rods go in most years through 1940 the Fords did look real good..I like Old Fords, just like the old faithful SBC to power them.

Not sure what family the FE was in but it also could be classic production. 2 door Coupe, 4 dr sedan, Station wagon, Ranchero all in the same class if you do the same things to them........Good Luck

Thanks for the help guys.
Is there anyone on here running a stout FE whose brain I can pick now and then?
Thanks again
