I'm running at the California Hot Rod Reunion Oct. 12-14. If I want to run at El Mirage the next weekend do I need to pre register?
Thanks,
Jerry Wortman

No, just show up for inspection and pay at registration.

Flatman,
Are you a SCTA member?

Yes. I ran at Bonneville this year.

Flatman, Running at Bonneville during Speedweek makes you a BNI member, did you join one of the many SCTA clubs based in California? If not you may only run as a guest and may not run for any records..you will also have to license up at El Mirage as your Bonneville license should not count..if I am incorrect someone please let me know.

John,
I may be wrong, however it was my understanding that it is an SCTA license not a Bonneville or El Mirage license. I know you still have to make a rookie run at El Mirage if you have run at Bonneville and vice versa.

From the El Mirage Procedures:
Regardless of SCTA license held, all Rookie drivers/riders must make a first run under 150 MPH from the rookie line.
Bonneville license counts, but because of the difference in racing surfaces, a pass from the rookie line to get used to the course is required. No records can be set from the rookie line.
PS: Hey Jon! The emoticon graphics are really screwed up!
