Good Job, Jonathon - I like the big, wide open look of the site. And the page of the 400-mph cars sure oughta be popular, especially to the folks that casually surf onto the site...as well as to the regulars.
Happy Thanksgiving to you two - and to all.

Hey, Jon:
The new site looks great! Keep up the good work--the site definitely feels like "home" for those of us interested in LSR, especially those of us who live in the LSR boonies back here on the East Coast....

To all of you LSR nuts, have a great thanksgiving.Soon it will be another season and we are thankful to be a part of this great sport. The many friends we have made and what we get to see achieved by the racers is the best in the world. Say a prayer to our servicemen & women that are protecting us. Jon, the new layout is just great. Thank you for your efforts and support of all land speed racing.

Jon, that new logo is really clean and impressive. You are doing a magnificent job. I think it will look great when embroidered.

Anybody having any problems, and pages not working correctly, any dead links? Please let me know if you run into something.

Hey, Jon -- I tried clicking on the DLRA button -- but never did get to that site, even using the sub-menu buttons.
I haven't checked out the other club/location-specific buttons yet.
Jon, raining/sleeting/snowing in Marquette.

jon,
the submenus do not send you to the dlra website they are for landracing.com pages only, if you would like to get to the dlra site look on the left side for organizations to goto their websites.
Does this answer your question.
And to clarify the submenu does work it just didnt send you to their website correct.

Todd,
Got the links fixed on the main page to the lsr list, user picture post and various news articles.
Thanks for the info, please let me know if you find any other dead links.

Jon, one other thing I'd recommend is to have your ORGANIZATIONS links(and any others I might not have noticed) open in a new window. Currently they are directing users off your site(same browser window connection) with no simple means of return.

Todd,
I got looking yesterday at site stats and I had about 2000 bad linked files. During the transition of the old to the new a huge amount of links got screwed up, but all the pages are being uploaded with corrected links site wide. And I corrected your recommendation on making a new window open on the oraganizational link. Thanks for the comments.

Thank you Jon.. don't know how you keep up with everything but thank you very much. Loved seeing the letter from Earl Wooden and now a pic to go with it. 370+mph!!!.... DAMN!
I'm just hoping they'll still let me have my drivers license when I'm his age.... Rock on Earl!

Freud, you didn't ask that question correctly. It should have been:
Jonn, kan yu inklut u spilchekur fer yer sit?

If there were a spell checker we wouldn't recognise half the correspondents, and anyway, Kieth would have a fit 'cause he's always telling newcomers that spelling isn't all that important, content is.
Only about 10" of snow so far this season in Marquette.
-
How do you spellcheck HICK????
-
I will go thru the website again, and run a spell check on all the pages. What does this mean, well manually bring up the 1167 pages that make up the site and run spell check on each one. Can it be done yes, do I want to do it, well eventually I will get around to it. This also means adding each name to the personal dictionary just look thru and you tell me how many will be in there, well pretty much not many so each will have to be added. Just a pain in the ass and very time consuming, but in order to make the site that much better I will start doing this by each secion of the site. So Freud yes it will be done do you have a time frame you would like it to be done by????
Jonathan
-
Maybe yesterday on the spell check.
-
Hey Freud Ill make a deal with you ill have it done tomorrow, but ever hear the expression "Tomorrow never ends"
Jon
P.S. I called our beauty queen, we got a big laugh...

Does she wear pink?
-
Don't need a speel(ha!) check, what I need is a better way to prevue what stupid stuff I have written before I send.

Glenn-by the way, we have a pink tutu for you for this year's reunion.
