I am using a 2008 Buell XB9 for a build and want to keep the FI but I can't find an aftermarket programmable ECU. I have the stock unit but it can't be hacked and I have a few options from NOS Eric Buell units, but none are programmable. Would a Power Commander work ? And before I proceed, is FI legal in MP partial streamlined Pushrod gas. Thanks.

Thanks WC. Wasn't sure Twintec had a unit for the FI bikes. I'm sorta stuck on carbs. This Buell engine is the first FI motor I ever had. Basically the same thing as a 2008 xl engine. 'Cept for the case design and some other things Eric designed. Still a sportster engine. Thanks man.

No PC, but 08 Buell can be tuned with the newer ECM-Spy set up. Done a bunch with this. Be advised, you must donate to get the program and it is then locked to the computer you send the e-mails from, so make sure it is the tuning laptop. Call me anytime if you need help with it. 707 548-7906

Master Tune makes a very good product for Harley ECU management. You could call them to find out if they have options for you on the Buell. Their products are model specific.

No Harley unit will work.

You could also look into Microsquirt and Nemesis. I think Nemesis is brand specific. With a Microsquirt, you have to learn a lot of fundamentals, but the guys at DIYAutotune and the MSEFI forums are very helpful.
