Title: 1951 Bonneville
Post by: John Burk on January 18, 2014, 09:40:14 AM
My tattered Nov. 1951 Hop Up magazine has 17 pages on that year's Bonneville Nationals . A young Mickey Thompson got the Hop Up thrashing award for dealing with lots of problems and getting top time in class with his 35 3 window . Photo of Ray Brown topping off his roadster tire with a hand pump . It said lots of racers slept in sleeping bags on the hanger floor because they couldn't get rooms in town .

One of our off season projects is to replace the seals in our hand pump so that maximum air will flow.
