Hi,
Don't know if somebody posted this before...
Various vintage footage from British Pathe on Bonneville...

More of the same from Daytona Beach... Including some footage of Frank Lockhart and his fateful 1928 record attempt with his supercharged 16 cylinder Miller based engine.

And that magic place in South Wales, the Pendine Sands, where early record attempts took place until its length proved too short, 8 miles at best...

Enjoy!!! Patrick

A treasure of old film footage.
Thanks for posting the links.

Wonderful Patrick!!! Did I see Phil Hill driving the MG?

What's really cool about many of these is that it shows BMC's commitment to testing at Bonneville, and that it was key to their marketing. No other manufacturer spent the resources at Bonneville that BMC did.

Thanks for all that Patrick, nothing moves me more than historic LSR stuff.
Sid.

Thanks, Patrick. It is nice to see the old races in movies that we usually view in still pictures. A highlight is seeing them apply the big black oil stripe to the salt. This is something we will not see anymore.
