Really, Glen?  Dan Wright has called me each day to say that theresults are in my inbox and also on the USFRA site.  I haven'tlooked over there to check, but I thought. . .

By the way, folks, today and tomorrow the old Mormon Meteor car will be on the Salt doing an exhibition -- static, and also being driven on a six-mile oval.  I don't know the full details, but a bunch of us are staying over to work the show.  And last night I learned that they're not going to let me drive the car.  Instead they're bringing in some unknown to do that chore.  He's due in this afternoon.  Anybody ever hear of him?  His name is Andy Green.

Yes, I'll get some photos.

anybody notice this in the resuls for Thursday
272 GARY FISHER FISHER, GARY E C/GMR   0   0 317.13379    0    0 -- WOW ---

And also Roger Lessmans AA/BGS at 311 mph running on Natural Gas. I think this is the fastest run on this newer car. He has had minor problems in the past buts its a real nice looking car. It is on an open record.

Also looks like Tom Bryant has gotten his car back in the 240's with there D/FCC with Mary West driving.

Team #1000 Bockscar with Stainless Steele driving got the 215 backup run for a record around 215 and change yesterday morning. They ran over something on the course and ruined a tire.

Glen I too can't see any results for Friday.

They also dont have Sparky listed for a 300 mph chapter new member yet... Believe me he is sporting the new hat.

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

The rational person lets verified facts form or modify his opinion.  The ideologue ignores verified facts which don't fit his preconceived opinions.

Just spoke with Fireman Jim and got some bike updates:

Richard Assen gains entry in to the Bonneville 200mph club with an average speed aroung 247+mph on his Beautiful Turbo Red Hayabusa.      His top speed is about 248mph which is a bit lower than his greater speed at Bubs of 250mph however he snags a hat with several mph to spare!

Greg Watters and Jim both also enter the 200mph club on the same Turbo GSXR-750, Jims average should be about 218.5 mph and Gregs is a few mph less however they both get the Hat!!

They had one pit area, two bikes, and they come away with three new Red hats!

Awesome showing guys and congrats.

Following on from John's post..many congrads Jim and Richard with the addition of the Red Hats

Richard had issues with chunking tyres and then the plenum blew off the throttle bodies for a 247.22mph pass ...think it was the old Motorheads record???..John, can you confirm?

Jim did a 218.219mph...yee haa  ..good on ya mate

I think they'll all have many fond memories of this trip and the many friends

Regarding the tire chunking I would assume like all others he was over-spinning the tire and that was the reason for the problems and a common situation is to hit the limiter and then backfire the plenum off during the run.  Been there and done that.  Either way those guys were haulin azz.

Big Congrats to Richard Assen for his new record and membership into the Bonneville 200 MPH Club.  For the last five years Team Forstall-Knecum-DeLuca has been custodian of that record. With a healthy 5 MPH bump, it now moves Down Under. Enjoy the feeling, you can't buy it, you must earn it. Cheers.  Larry

This was my first USFRA meet I am must say I was impressed with all of the volunteers and there attitudes towards the racers. I really enjoyed my time there and see myself returning in the future. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful!

It was also nice to meet Stainless, Fireman Jim, Greg Waters, Narider, Slim, Nancy and a bunch of other great people!
