Metal meets
« on: June 10, 2012, 05:55:18 PM »
Just returned from the metal meet in Santa Cruz. For $50 you get to hang with Kent White, Lazzie, Ron Covell and others.
Kent White showed how to gas weld Aluminum. Ron Covell helped me fit up and finish some aluminum around the canopy on the liner body. You can bring your project and have some of the best metal men around help you. You get to use any equipment like English wheels, stretcher-shrinker, power hammers, bead rollers, pullmax and many others. Baileigh brought a big open trailer full of their fabrication equipment to use.

If you ever hear about a metal meet in your area be sure and check it out. You might check metalmeet.com

You just can not get the same info from videos as you do holding the metal in your hands and shaping it.

Just talking to Kent White about all the Ferrari cars he has rebuilt was great.

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.
