Who will make the first run of Speed Week 2022???
« on: August 04, 2022, 10:28:47 AM »
Any guesses as to which vehicle will make the first official run of Speed Week 2022?

I'm sorry I won't be there, but will try to listen in as much as possible (based on the assumption there will be a functioning live feed).

To tell the truth, there are a few racers that (sorta) try to be ready to make the first run.  Speed Demon is known to be ready at the very beginning.  The Turbinator plans to run right away.  Etc, etc.  Tune in Saturday morning and find out who's first.

I was standing on the starting line when that pass was made - it was magical.

Probably not this year (unfortunately).

Even 400 mph could be a bit of a stretch ...

The question should be who will make the next run of 2022 using a boat.

Lots of water needs to go away plus another concern all the salt chunks floating around.
Here's a short video of the condition's on Sunday.
