Loved that photo!  1951(?) Chrysler Windsor {the "lightweight" model they used in the 51 PanAm race (?)} and a MadMan Muntz Kurtis(sp?).  Could be 331 Cadillac or 331 Chrysler powered.

(Notice how definitive in reporting this is!)

I thought it was the guy that won was dragging the other car   since early time you had to drag the road to fill in the ruts after it dried out
