WF 2021 -- I'm late starting this. Sorry.
« on: September 24, 2021, 12:09:29 PM »
I swear that a couple of weeks ago I set up a specific topic for Finals - but I probably didn't finish.  Whatever, here it is.

NEWS:  I won't be at Finals this time after all.  I've got the tickets, the time off, all that stuff -  and Nancy had brain surgery day-before-yesterday and gets home from the hospital Saturday.  I was going to fly out Sunday.  I thought and considered and weighed the options of going or staying at home - and came to the conclusion that giving ammunition to a divorce attorney was dumb.

I'll post more of the story in the Health and Welfare thread, but to summarise:  She's okay.

We arrived about 5PM and set up our pit... that means we staked out 2 small tarps and unloaded the stuff.
Inspection in the morning

I've seen reports, posts, and texts this morning, all reporting that it's windy and therefore everything is on hold.  Anybody else got WF updates?

From White Goose Bar Racing
The #2111 WGBR Truck, driven by Keith Pedersen, in G/BFMMP had a great qualifying run this morning at 174.543mph.  This is the fastest the truck has been with this engine.  Very excited to be in impound and looking forward to the return run tomorrow morning.

From JBA Speed Shop running the E/GL
Just ran 245 mph on a 236 mph record at Bonneville with a 258 ci naturally aspirated engine. Dyno prep pays off!

Just seen on the Vesco Facebook page that their EV went 328MPH on the EV3 record of 314 MPH.
