I looked at the mirror, and stopped lying. I have made almost no progress on my coal-burning Harley LSR in 2 years, and I don't think I can do much more.
I have an engine (older big twin) which I can complete, but the chassis etc. is beyond my skills.
Since I decided to attempt this, I've lost an eye and a lot of manual dexterity (not to mention 66 years old) so I'd rather be a partner than just give it up.
Is there anyone on Long Island with a Harley project that can use some technical help, extra pair of hands from time to time, and a modest investment of cash? The idea is to make your chassis suitable for both engines, and run 2 classes. My motor may qualify for AVG (pre-56, flathead, gas, legal cases, cylinders and heads, 89"= 1,464cc (runs in 1,00cc at 978cc + handicap). Depending on the chassis, I may use an Eaton M45 I have lying around.
Thanks for any leads or comments.
