I got it from Bob Clancy (who is a wel;-known adventure rider and who doesn't break his leg(s) much when riding in the way out there.

Anybody who complains about hotel prices in Wendover needs to go through this series of photographs, and while they're getting off on Exit 4 on I-80 in Utah, consider the conditions that the DLRA racers put up with to run at Gairdner.

We've got it easy. REAL easy.

the fortitude for the: trek to get there, petrol prices, effort required for provisions, and the conditions/accommodations

Post by: KathyO on March 30, 2015, 08:16:42 PM: Been there, done that. Camped at Mt. Ive Sheep Station. It was such a great adventure about 20 years ago. So good to see it all again. I do remember the flies at Lake Gairdner, they were brutal. It makes the drive to Bonneville seem like a cake walk.

Post by: Glen on March 30, 2015, 10:19:45 PM: That was a Dave Tuttle built car and has been over 200 mph here in the states before it was sold down under. Hope the driver pulls through. Looks like the chassis stayed together.

Trent is in good hands, and as of 2 days ago is breathing on his own (broken rib, punctured lung & bruised lungs), all the safety gear did it's job.
He is gradually being bought out of the induced coma & we impatiently wait on his full recovery news.
