Chris,
So great to see that you and Ford Boy are at it again!! Looking forward to seeing you at WOS in September. I was there the time you set the record with the "tractor" engine. I will be getting in on the "Horse Power raffle" as soon as I do some numbers and check my bank account. I would really expect you to be on the north side of 150. As a note the one liter Kawasaki that Duke and I have in our car made 172 at the rear wheels and considering that it was through a transmission and a chain I would bet it would have been 200 at the crank flange.
Great you are back!!
Rex
Now, let me see . . .
I only have a 2020 Rule Book, but it says you have the I/GT record at 122. And the I/MGT record is a SAAB story at 127.
And how confident you must be that Fordboy is building the engine. Wow! Is the 2 Club far away? (The 132 Club.
I'm gonna have to do some calculation and join in the fun!
Chris good to see you back... alive and well...
I'm in for $2 a HP for every one over a 100 to 125.... and $3 for every one over 125
Of course with a $25 minimum, but I have faith in your wallet and Mark's abilities...
Make me PAY guys... :clap
Great to see you back, MM. I'm in for 0.50/
Okay, I think I got it now. Don't play any Shell Games with the numbers. No Shetland Ponies, either. Let's just keep it simple -- 5 Shillings times the Highest H.P. reached. Nearest I can figure it ought to be about $4.31 total (or $127.65) or {maybe $638.876 over the mean, and I do mean mean Yorkshire daily low temperature}.
Jon, you better stand outside and wait for the check in the mail. This could be substantial!

Fifty cents a horse here.
Chris & FB, welcome back to the 'PROCESS'! :-P
Oh, and after 1:36:42, we never did find out what the dwell should be.

This delay gives me more time to cash in my empties to cover the massive check Slim will be receiving
I also note the engine is growing up and has started to grow public hair in its valvular region.
It looks like spring steel to me. Is it magnetic? But as it was found in the combustion area (better than if it were found in the oil or sump), it must have either entered thru the intake system or was the remains of a tool or wire brush used in the porting process. Are there any springs associated with the fuel pump, injectors, or hey, what about that valve that departed the compression gauge? Didn't it have a spring under the pressure relief button?

So was there a number before it left?

P.S. How do I make the donation to the forum?
And hopefully a financial help to our favorite site on the web!
I seem to remember something about using PayPal and indicating gift, Is that still the case?
Don
I think it still works like that, but maybe the system has been changed and there's another way to maximise the amount that gets to me. But - the fee isn't all that usurious and the funds arrive pretty quickly and so on, so I don't lose too much sleep. I do thank all of youse guys for the support so we can have fun.
Speaking of funds for the site - - wait 'til you hear my idea for the 2021 t-shirt!! :clap muutt
Just kidding Slim... you are one of my oldest friends... or maybe you just look like one of the oldest....
