Didn't I see their Studebaker in the movie The Worlds Fastest Indian????

It was there.  We had a couple people think that it was Hooley's and e-mailed us, but of course it wasn't.  I had a chance to stay up there for the filming and didn't.  Kick myself now ,

Thanks, Crow.  Those photos of WFI were taken with a cheap Point 'n Shoot digital.  I use a DSLR now and get a little better results.

And I sure hope to see y'all on the salt.  It can't get here too soon!

Sumner, we were there running at the World Finals that year, 04. We got to go look at the movie set when they took a break. If you watch the movie you can hear some of the real race cars running in the background. We could see down the street in the Utah side in the evening when they had the street closed during filming.

ulrace,
I got an e-mail from Gail yesterday, and you'll be able to look at the Stude at Speed Week this August. I was at a party at their place last Fall, and it sounds awsome. It was just about ready to go then. Should be interesting, Gail will wheel the Stude and Ron will drive the "Stay-In School" roadster. Doug
I keep going faster and faster and I don't know why. All I have to do is live and die.

despite not being a 'vette fan, i always loved neil's 'stude best of all the studebakers.  i'd really like to see a picture of the car before the 'vette nose was added.  wasn't it gold with the older nose?

pretty damn fast for its day!!

Isn't it the fastest Stude one way with a 273-275 run?  I have another picture of it that Tom Burkland send me some time back.
