Dodge V4 engine
« on: July 29, 2021, 11:47:09 PM »
I rescued a Dodge/Plymouth vintage 4 banger engine in pieces from becoming $10 worth of scrap & would like to donate it somebody that could use it. I seem to remember there were some guys in Montana that ran these in the V4 class or if anybody else does or wants it, yell at me.
I can deliver it to SW, freebee.

Look up the Montana Dodge Boys. If it's a Dodge. Dodge was not a part of MoPar in those days and nothing on Dodge engines is the same as Plymouth, This is a Plymouth

Thanks guys, I sent an email.
I just hate to see this old stuff getting scrapped. I actually paid money for it at an estate sale but I was bidding against the scrap guy just because! I also got a 58 Imperial 392 (apart) & a rare Algon 3-port progressive blower injector. It's amazing what lurks in some of these places, like three 4-71 blowers that I had to save from the scrap guy as well! :-(...

If I was closer, I would be interested in the blowers.  "Someday" I would like to put one on a Ford Y Block for the street.

The email listed on the web site is not active, does anybody else have any contact for them?

Sid, search "V4 Dodge" in the build diary section, is this it?

If so then it would be RichFox and zendog.

Alotta work in trying to give someone something they've been looking for.

I've got a Chet Herbert cam and kit for a small block Chevy still in the wooden box as delivered to Scotty's Muffler.  I have no use for it, perhaps one of you do.  It's almost streetable with "more power from when you turn the key 'til about 7000 RPM".  Anyone interested?  Got a shelf you want to put it on?

Sid, is it a flathead four? Is the distributor on the head like a model A engine? That is the only engine the Dodge Boys are interested in. If not message me with the engine number right above where the carb would be, maybe I can help.

Yeah it's a Dodge 4 banger flattie with distributor through the head. Although it's in pieces it's all there including flywheel, clutch & bellhousing minus carb & distributor.

One of my mates has the Rich Fox roadster in NZ.
This car still has the Dodge motor.
If these parts are still available, lets toss him into the fray.

The engine in Marks car is not a "Fast Four" It has few interchangeable parts with the engine Dodge Boys run
